Bio
Coach Mead's college baseball career started at Grossmont College where he spent 2 years on the team (1 redshirt season) and earned an Associate’s Degree before transferring to SDCC in 2015 where he started as a catcher for 3 years. During his time at SDCC, he earned 2 GSAC Gold Glove awards as a catcher and threw out 55 runners.
He received his Bachelor’s Degree from SDCC in Biblical Studies/Music in 2018 and started coaching right after graduating, working primarily with the catchers.
He also went on staff with Fellowship of Christian Athletes with a desire to pour into the student-athletes at SDCC and encourage them in their relationship with Christ.
His hope is that each player that comes to SDCC is able to grow as a man of God on and off the field while being a part of a successful baseball program.
He currently lives in Lakeside with his wife Tiff, also a graduate of SDCC in 2018.
