Chew Earns Fifth Double-Double in Loss at Cal Poly

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Greg Chew posted his fifth double-double of the season in San Diego Christian College's 59-72 exhibition game loss to the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Mustangs.

Playing their second Big West Conference team in three days, the Hawks took a while to get their offense going against the Cal Poly Mustangs. The slow start would put SDCC in a 23-point hole at the half.

The never-say-die San Diego Christian squad would show its character in the second half, however. The Hawks continued to grind on defense and made the most of offensive opportunities en route to outscoring their NCAA Division 1 opponent 38-28 over the final 20 minutes. Chew kept SDCC in the game on both sides of the ball. The senior forward led all scoring with 13 while also leading both teams in rebounds with 10. Hawk guard, Josh O'Campo was right behind Chew with 12 points and Kevin Sandoval came off the bench to make 3-of-4 from three-point range.
