Hawks End Season With Big Win Over LPU

SAN DIMAS, Calif. – The San Diego Christian College men's basketball team closed out the 2022-23 season by defeating the Life Pacific University Warriors 104-84 on Saturday. Coach Dwayne Cosby allowed the team to show their offensive prowess and they did. All five SDCC starters posted double-digit scoring lines.

The play of Greg Chew, easily a top-five player in the GSAC, was once again spectacular. The senior forward put up a game-leading 27 points and with his 10 rebounds, earned his 13th double-double of the season. His 12th was one assist shy of a triple-double Thursday against the Vanguard Lions.

Josh O'Campo rained down three-pointers all night, scoring 25 points in 25 minutes. Senior Cameron Dashiell, given the freedom to fire away, did not disappoint, scoring 20 points of his own.

Ausage Siamu (15 points) and Jonah Felix (14 points) rounded out the double-digit scoring for San Diego Christian.

The win earned the Hawks six conference victories, one more than the team earned the previous year. It is worth noting, however, that even though they improved their record the vastly improved team could have just as easily posted a winning record. San Diego Christian not only once again played the toughest schedule in the entire NAIA, but was competitive in nearly every conference game until the final buzzer.
